Pan-India Design Community
Designland is a digital community for designers across India, offering a platform for conversation and collaboration. Their first design conference was held in June 2024 at T-Hub Hyderabad, featuring prominent industry speakers and attracting over 250 design enthusiasts.
I had the opportunity to design the illustrations for the tote bags, which were included in the free goodies collection. Additionally, I exhibited my artworks as a freelance artist at the event and created live portraits for the audience.

The Illustration
"Bridging the gap between humans and AI".
With artificial intelligence being an abstract entity with numerous visual interpretations, I used my artistic sensibilities to place it in a more intriguing setting. Inspired by Henry Matisse's 'Dance,' I illustrated humans and AI in a dance of life. The humans are depicted as blobs, while the AI creatures mimicking humans are pixelated, symbolizing their unique coexistence in the modern world.
To signify the event taking place in Hyderabad, tiny elements of the city are incorporated into the background. The art style is heavily inspired by Keith Haring's recognizable wonky figures, simplifying shapes and enhancing visibility.
The ToteBag
The designed tote bags were distributed on the morning of the event, along with other fun freebies. They blended seamlessly with the event's theme, with the attendees sporting them on their shoulders.
Takeaways
It was a fun experience setting up a stall at such a large event, and I enjoyed having Manasi, a talented artist and crazy graphic designer, by my side. Thanks to Tej for the opportunity to create something fun for DesignLand.
